"Me", by Taylor Swift, describes how unique we all are. Like snowflakes in a storm :)

We're All Snowflakes :)
One thing about me, for sure and certain as my grandma used to say, is that you'll never find anyone else like me. She was sure something, my grandma, and she was right about a lot of things she told me when I was little. Maybe she wasn't a college graduate, or even a high school graduate, but she was smarter in the ways of the world and had more common sense than most people I meet today. The one thing I remember the most is that she told me that we were all like snowflakes, each of us different but put us all together and you have a blizzard that can shut down the world. So, that's me - definitely unique, with no one that can match me.
I was born in a small town (in Eastern Kentucky), grew up in a small town, and have lived in small towns for most of my life. I am definitely not a big city kind of guy even though I no longer hunt or fish. Well, okay, sometimes I still go fishing. Definitely still not a big city type of person. Just thinking about living somewhere with over a hundred thousand people in it makes me shudder.
As far as school credentials go, I went to Morehead State University (a small teaching college in Kentucky) where I graduated with a modest grade point average (3.2). After working in various different fields and off and on in different states I have been a minerals analyst, a janitor, a childcare worker at a children's home, a Personnel Services Sergeant in the Army, a senior assistant manager at a fast food restaurant, a substitute teacher, a quality control technician, and have taught at both the middle and high school levels. I'm a Jack-of-all-Trades, if you will. But, through it all, everything I've ever done has been in a service industry or mentoring or teaching role where I could help people. When it all boils down and you reach the bottom of the soup pot what's left over in there is that I like to do everything I can to help people.
Which means you. YOU are people. If you have a problem or need help in class, come see me or Ms. Johnson or Ms. Hays. Any of us (all of us) would like to help you to succeed. If you're a parent and you're reading this and you need to contact me or ask me (or Ms. Johnson or Ms. Hays) a question because you're confused about something or just need an answer please do so. We are, after all, here to help.
